We understand that for most of our clients this is the first time dealing with an architect, and this can be rather daunting. We aim to make the process of building a beautiful home as easy as possible, and it’s our extensive experience of building in the North of Scotland that allows us to do so.
After the initial contact, we start with a no obligation face-to-face meeting with the client. Our relationship will be built on trust, so it’s important that we understand the client’s requirements exactly. We will outline the services we can provide and the fees for these.
If the client wishes to proceed with us we will send out a formal letter setting out our fees.
For a new build the process is roughly as follows, although every client and every project is different, and we can tailor our services to suit.
We start work on the design; this is a very fluid process and led by client meetings and feedback. We will work on this until we create the perfect scheme for the client.
When we have designed the final scheme we will submit this to planning, we can also help with building warrants and any other permissions needed.
We can liaise with building control on your behalf, throughout the entire process.
We can find a builder; negotiate with them on your behalf and monitor the build throughout with site visits.
We can design the interiors to fit your taste and lifestyle and find trusted local tradesmen to carry out the work.
And give you the keys to your beautiful new home.
